Software version showing on scanner is dated 3/2015, so I don't know how more up to date it could possibly get for a 17 year old car's software!

I too loaded update software and could not get it to work. I was able to reset airbag fault that I think was caused by previous owner's stereo installation and never reset. I CAN look at some things successfully, and other menu options get comm error. No, I don't have a check engine light or inspection light showing. All can get is the communication error that I posted photo of above. I just did an oil change and spark plug change, and wanted to 'zero' out the service interval.

The software version on the tool show v4.6 even though they are advertising v4.8. I tried both plugs inside the car and under the hood. I was not able to communicate or reset the service interval. The menu shows options to reset the service light and display the other modules like Body, ABS, etc. The update folder shows the C310, but when you install it the tool says C100.Īt this point it's a nice engine tool but don't count on it doing anything else. Not sure if I should be able to get 100%, seems I should? Regardless it made a nice difference. I adjusted the big stop under the pedal and now have 4.15v and 91%.

The other thing I found quickly was at full throttle the voltage was 3.75 and 76%. It did not make sense but after resetting the adaptation I don't have have to turn the DSC off. I had an interesting observation that my engine was more responsive and lively with the DSC turned off. It also has a nice feature to reset throttle adaptation. It does a nice job with engine codes, showing running values, and has a nice graph mode.
